Welcome to CloudCity Academy. The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to CloudCity Academy. We operate this website and all related digital content, tools, downloads, live instruction, and services offered through the site (collectively, the “Services”). CloudCity Academy is powered by Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform enabling delivery and payment functionality.

By using, accessing, purchasing from, or interacting with our Services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Services.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

By using the Services, you confirm you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction or have consent from a parent or legal guardian.

To access course content or digital products, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and for all activity under your account. Login access may not be shared, transferred, sublicensed, or sold.

2. Educational Use

CloudCity Academy provides online educational materials, live or recorded training sessions, templates, downloads, and resources related to aviation knowledge, FAA Part 107 exam preparation, and professional drone operations.

All content is intended solely for personal educational use. You may not copy, record, redistribute, publish, share, or repurpose course materials without written permission.

We do not guarantee academic outcomes, operational competency, business results, testing success, or earning potential.

3. FAA Disclaimer

CloudCity Academy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or any government aviation authority.

Participation in CloudCity Academy courses does not:

  • Grant certification
  • Replace regulatory training requirements
  • Provide legal authorization to operate a drone commercially

You are solely responsible for:

  • Scheduling and completing the FAA Part 107 exam
  • Complying with all applicable aviation laws
  • Maintaining legal Remote Pilot currency
  • Operating safely and within FAA regulations

Passing the exam, ensuring compliance, and acting as a responsible Remote Pilot in Command is the responsibility of the student — not CloudCity Academy.

4. Orders, Enrollment, and Access

Purchases of digital products or programs are final unless otherwise stated in our Refund Policy.

Upon successful payment, access instructions will be sent to the email provided at checkout. If payments fail, are reversed, or disputed, access may be suspended until resolved.

5. Pricing and Billing

Pricing may change at any time without notice. You agree to provide accurate and current billing information and authorize us (or Shopify) to charge the provided payment method.

Taxes may apply depending on your location.

6. Lifetime Access

If your enrollment includes “lifetime access,” this refers to access for the lifetime of the current program and platform as it exists at the time of purchase. It does not include future versions, additional programs, live coaching, or updates unless explicitly stated.

Access may be delivered through third-party platforms and is dependent on their continued availability.

Lifetime access refers to the lifetime of the product — not the lifetime of the purchaser.

7. Intellectual Property

All course materials, videos, branding, frameworks, written content, slides, downloadable files, and live session content are protected by intellectual property law.

You may not reproduce, record, stream, sell, or redistribute any material without written permission.

8. Third-Party Tools and Platforms

Our Services may integrate with outside tools such as learning systems, video conferencing software, or payment platforms. These tools are provided “as is,” and we are not responsible for availability, performance, outages, or data practices of third-party providers.

9. User-Generated Content

If you participate in community discussions, post submissions, or upload content (including comments, assignments, images, or messages), you retain ownership of your content.

By posting such content, you grant CloudCity Academy a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use and display that content for educational, community, or promotional purposes unless you revoke permission in writing.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates copyright, privacy, safety standards, or FAA regulations.

10. Prohibited Use

You agree not to misuse the Services. Prohibited activities include:

  • Sharing or reselling course access
  • Attempting unauthorized access to our systems
  • Scraping or harvesting data
  • Using the content to create competing products
  • Harassing instructors or community members
  • Violating applicable aviation or digital policy laws

11. Termination of Access

We may suspend or terminate access — without refund — if a user violates these Terms, abuses the platform, engages in unsafe or illegal activity, or shares login credentials.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.”
We do not guarantee:

  • uninterrupted access
  • freedom from errors
  • specific results
  • testing outcomes
  • income or business success

Use of the Services is voluntary and at your own discretion and risk.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CloudCity Academy is not liable for:

  • Lost income or business opportunities
  • Operational decisions or drone-related incidents
  • Test outcomes or certification status
  • Platform outages or instructor availability
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

14. Refunds

Refund requests are governed by our Refund Policy, available on this site.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Dispute Resolution

Before pursuing legal action, both parties agree to attempt good-faith informal resolution. If unresolved, disputes will be handled through binding arbitration in Rhode Island, USA.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, USA.
